I am so thankful for the last few days. I have been tired sometimes, but mostly functional, and that feels good! Still hanging out with some low-grade fevers, but not feeling as yucky.
We will be having Thanksgiving at my mom’s on Thursday, and I am looking forward to getting out of the house. I’m even going to make mashed potatoes. I have the energy to make mashed potatoes. That’s where we’re at right now. Isn’t it crazy what we take for granted? Like being able to make mashed potatoes. Who knew making mashed potatoes would be on my “thankful” list this year? Mashed potatoes. Now I said the word(s) too much and it sounds weird.
My “thankful” list:
Tim and Alexander, of course.
My mom and Tim’s mom. They have been taking shifts and staying with us.
Friends, near and far. You lift me up.
Making mashed potatoes, apparently.
Having energy to run a simple errand.
Being able to eat without feeling sick.
Being able to stand to take a shower. AND having the opportunity to take a relaxing bath instead, if I want.
Time.
God’s hand in all of this. I need to trust Him. I’m doing my best.
I could probably add 1,000 more things I am grateful for these days, and I still wouldn’t exhaust the list.
Now, just for fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wWfBdEshqU
