What are you thankful for this thanksgiving? Ugh. Cliche. We should be thankful for the things we have and love every day, and we should say it out loud. I stopped to get Alexander a bagel on the way home from visiting Tim at work today, and was fumbling with him and the bagel and I needed a knife. So a complete stranger asked me if he could help. And I said thank you. Out loud. And he smiled and wished me a happy Thanksgiving. And I am thankful for him.
I just took my chemo pills, which I hate. But I looked up and thanked God for them because they are working.
And I could list all the things I’m thankful for, but I don’t need to. The first thing I say each morning and one of the last things I say before going to bed is “thank you”.
“With each day, I give thanks for the blessings of life – the blessings of another day and the chance to do something with it.” -Mamie Till-Mobley
Thankful.
